What came first, the chicken or the egg?

Well in the case it was the chicken.


We now have three beautiful eggs sitting in the kitchen waiting to be made into something lovely. I think I will make a pineapple-upside-down cake with them. What would you make if you had three lovely eggs in your kitchen?

(now don't be a smarty and say there are only two eggs. There was one from the day before. duh.)

buahahahaha! The whole time I was thinking, "there are only two eggs there Sonya! Where did you get the other one from???"... but then I read the caption at the end!

I would probably make scones! I've been wanting to make them for a while now...

I just had one I made into egg salad-yum. Also your eggs will taste better from your own hens...or you hair dressers as in my case.

I would probably cry for the poor little chicken who wants to have babies but instead they are getting turned into cake.

Emily is in Tchad and she finally posted something . I'll be honest when I was reading it my heart started racing and I was instantly transported there. Yesterday all my troubles seemed so far away. . .

When I got to the hospital for worship at 7am, little Ramadan, one of my little TB guys sat with me for worship, and he and I had a lot of fun I received the full amount of personal contact for the day. We looked at our hands, veins in our hands and tried not to giggle to loudly when we tickled each other. In the afternoon I didn’t worry about working on our math skills like I normally do. Normally I sit with my peds boys and we go over math stuff. We play a round of Uno and then work on numbers. With Climont, I work on going over basic numbers and recognizing them and then with Kumabus, I help him with multiplying and simple addition, which he is good at. With Ramada I go over addition. But yesterday I gave it all a break and we colored pictures. We just sat there and I sang and let them color whatever they wanted to. Shabbat Shalom

On Friday night last I went to the local Jewish community center (yes there is one here in Phnom Penh) and celebrated the opening of the Sabbath. I have a few things in common with the Jewish faith, as a Christian I also believe that Saturday is day that God set aside for worship. It's the day that we spend with God and family as a reminder that He is God and to slow down and be present. It starts Friday night at sundown and goes until sundown on Saturday. With the big difference in our beliefs being Jesus. Even with that difference I appreciated the connection that I was able to make with the way that Jesus brought in His Sabbath all those years ago. I went with Louise, the newest RAW Edu staff member and Olivia, the volunteer here for two weeks with an Eng literacy training team and who is actually Jewish.
