Puppies!

I got my puppy! I am so excited. I can’t wait to train him (tips are welcome cause I have no idea how to train) and I can’t wait to cuddle with him and have him run to me and for him to just love me.

First things first. I need to name him. Suggestions are welcome. I prefer a Bible name because that is always a good tool to start a story about God. But I am not limiting the choices to Bible names. I need to name him soon because he needs to learn his name. So hurry and submit the names. Here’s what I’ve thought of so far: Ranger, Goliath, David, Spunky and Sampson. (Although Sampson was my birds name and he died this week.)

He is a bit feisty as he likes to try and play with the sheep we have, and he is light brown with white stockings on his front paws and white sock on his back paws. He’s about 3 months old and his ears and feet are still too big for him. He’s really scared of us right now and it will take some time for him to realize we are good and want to just love on him. He’s a good reminder that people are the same way. Skeptical at first, because they’ve been hurt before, then I have to move really slow so they trust and lots of times I have to back track and start at the beginning while in all reality I’m not really starting over because deep down they know me and are starting to trust. Good ol’ dog, teaching me new lessons. I’ll keep you posted on what I learn next.

You could name him Zion and be like that lady who wrote a book about her dog. Or...let's see...what about a book of the Bible. Isaiah, Genesis, Exodus, Jeremiah, Timothy, Joshua..ok, ok that's a good start anyway. :)

How about Jonah? Except he didn't obey...but maybe he turned around and learned how to obey even though in the beginning things were shaky...Anyway thanks for taking care of Liz and being there for her. I know she has appreciated you a ton. I am going to post your pictures so everyone can see them next week (I am currently in Colorado). I am praying for you guys and am proud to know some hard core missionaries. And if you don't choose Jonah I won't feel slighted...

I think Benjamin is a great name for a puppy! But if you don't like that, then how about Luke.

I think Ben might be slighly biased on his firstsuggestion...so I can be biased too. I think you should name it Andrew. :)
