I've been shot!!

Well on tuesday of this week I went to the Motgomery Childrens Heath and was shot! Owww! I now have been given the clear for tetnis and Yellow Fever. I am glad that it is over with. I was afraid I would pass out or something, I was glad my friend Rachael from Camp went so she could distract me. The tetnis hurt but the yellow fever was nothing but a bee sting.
So now I am one HUGE step closer to being able to go!!!
Andrea up at Southern is in the process of buying my ticket for the 6th of Aug. I'll fly to Paris alone and meet up with Liz over there. It is going to be one HECK of a long journy. Just to get to Europe is 9 hours, then down to Africa several more, then once we are there we have to drive a really long way to get to Bere. So I am guessing that it will take around 2 days all in all. Not to mention the time change! Yippie! Sounds like fun!!!!
Camp is going good, I am getting excited about leaving and I keep thinking of more things that I need to get together to take with me. Things like tooth paste, nice smelling shampoo and really nice foot scrub along with nice lotion for the dry season.
Well I am off to work in the Craft building now.

Hey when you come home we can look for the little bottles of shampoo I have from the hotels I've stayed in. They should fit into your suitcase easily.

I remember when I got shot... yup, got a HUGE bruise in my arm... Everyone was asking me who had hit me... lol... fun times...

Well today the majority of the students have been gone from the school leaving me and just a very tiny group of working students and green house workers to run the place. I must be honest I wasn't very excited about being left behind while everyone else went to an faraway land to do mission work. Especially because one group was going to Honduras, the very first place I lived outside of America. I would have LOVED to visit my old home at El Hogar de Ninos. I am on the move again. I know that I'm hard to get ahold of or that I'm always going somewhere new but this time I'm not. I'm going back to a place I've been before, a place that I have called home. I'm moving to Oakhurst, California. The town right outside the Southern entrance to Yosemite National Park. I am their new Kindergarden teacher. That's right, a bunch of little kids and I are going to learn together We are going to conquer the world of colors, numbers and letters. We will go where no other 5 and 6 year old have gone before! We will explore the outdoors, our imaginations and the world of knowledge. It is going to be grand. I've been telling stories on here for awhile, since I first found out I was going to Tchad in 2007. Now here I am back on the African continent writing stories about starting an orphanage. Here's my 500th story. I walked to visit a friend and took a trail through the village. I went to Arusha town yesterday in a crowded dala dala (bus). I ate ugali with my hands (very similar to Tchadian buile). Today I washed my clothes by hand outside, I drew water from the well and I talked to a neighbor kid in English while he talked to me in Kiswahili. All these things are special. The funny thing is they make me miss home. You might be thinking my American home with my family and friends that I grew up with, worked with, and went on adventures with. That, however, is not who I was missing the most. I am missing my Tchadian family, mi famil.
