I am going to be the new recruiter for the European Bible School (EBS). I will be starting up a Student Mission Program, heading up the social committee, working with the students and living in snow. I won't know anyone at the school. My friend Erin who's job I'm taking will be living about 20 to 30 min away. I will be basically my own boss. I'll use my budget to decide where I will go to recruit (yes, I'll be traveling all over Europe). I'll live on campus in an apartment, eat most my meals in the cafeteria with the students. The care food is all vegan, including no cinnamon and curry spice (sorry Hans!). I think it'll be fun. I've already decided that I am going to take more than my two suit cases. I'm not afraid to bring a little bit more with me. Shoot I'll need lost of warm clothes and things to decorate my apartment with! I'm a regular adult now with an apartment.

It's in the middle of Yosemite National Park in California. I'll be a camp counselor/drama teacher/assistant programing dir. I can't wait! I haven't been a counselor in FOREVER. I am really excited. I'll have fun goofing off with the campers.

Hi, I actually don't know you, but I noticed on Bere Hospital blog that there was someone with a blog titled "Norway" :-).

My name is Martina and I am a student missionary from Southern at Fredheim Health Center in Kongsberg, Norway (about 45 minutes from Skotselv), and I went to EBS two years ago. I was actually wondering who will take over for Erin this next year, and I guess it is you! :-) I think you will seriously have an awesome time there! Have you ever been to Norway before? Norway really is a blast, and there are tons of young people at EBS from all over the world.

Well today the majority of the students have been gone from the school leaving me and just a very tiny group of working students and green house workers to run the place. I must be honest I wasn't very excited about being left behind while everyone else went to an faraway land to do mission work. Especially because one group was going to Honduras, the very first place I lived outside of America. I would have LOVED to visit my old home at El Hogar de Ninos. I am on the move again. I know that I'm hard to get ahold of or that I'm always going somewhere new but this time I'm not. I'm going back to a place I've been before, a place that I have called home. I'm moving to Oakhurst, California. The town right outside the Southern entrance to Yosemite National Park. I am their new Kindergarden teacher. That's right, a bunch of little kids and I are going to learn together We are going to conquer the world of colors, numbers and letters. We will go where no other 5 and 6 year old have gone before! We will explore the outdoors, our imaginations and the world of knowledge. It is going to be grand. 500 stories.

I've been telling stories on here for awhile, since I first found out I was going to Tchad in 2007. Now here I am back on the African continent writing stories about starting an orphanage. Here's my 500th story. I walked to visit a friend and took a trail through the village. I went to Arusha town yesterday in a crowded dala dala (bus). I ate ugali with my hands (very similar to Tchadian buile). Today I washed my clothes by hand outside, I drew water from the well and I talked to a neighbor kid in English while he talked to me in Kiswahili. All these things are special. The funny thing is they make me miss home. You might be thinking my American home with my family and friends that I grew up with, worked with, and went on adventures with. That, however, is not who I was missing the most. I am missing my Tchadian family, mi famil.
